How to Lock or Unlock Your Debit Card:
Signers can temporarily lock any Alterna Bank debit card quickly and easily with Debit Card Lock.
- Signer logs in to online banking
- Online banking – Menu option: Product & Services > Debit Cards > Manage cards
- Select the card to be temporarily locked/unlocked
- Click “lock my card” or “unlock my card”
- Read the information pop-up window, then click “continue”
- Unlock Only: Signers will need to enter a one-time passcode to unlock a card.
IMPORTANT: While a card is locked, debit purchases and ATM transactions cannot be completed.
Remember, if you believe a debit card has been permanently lost or stolen, please lock the card to prevent any unauthorized transactions, then report it lost/stolen via Alterna Chat or call us at 1.888.807.4101.
