Passwords: Use long or system generated smart passwords / passphrases, a password manager and enable multi-factor authentication when available.

Update Technology: Make sure your device operating system and applications receive updates.

Spam & Phishing: Verify any link before clicking on it. Only scan QR codes from trusted source. Pause and verify unexpected requests for money, personal information or urgent action.

Privacy: Check and update privacy settings on all online accounts.

Wi-Fi: Always use secure Wi-Fi when accessing personal information.

Remember to Backup: Backup important files to a separate, disconnected device.

Secure Accounts: Be sure to use a different password on each account.

Social Media: Never share personal information on social media.

Passkeys: Use passkeys whenever possible.

Multi-factor Authentication: Enable multi-factor authentication on email, banking, shopping and social media accounts.

AI Scams: Be aware of AI-generated emails, texts, images and voice messages impersonating trusted organizations.

Software Downloads: Only install apps from official app stores and trusted sources.
